Kevin Lee Barrett, 42, of Denton, went to be with his Savior on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
Kevin was born on August 10, 1971 in Denton to Rick and Linda (Clark) Barrett. He worked for warranty repair service at Jostens; he also worked for Bill Utter Ford and James Wood. He was a loving and dedicated father. He attended Southmont Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Lynn Barrett of Denton; sons, David Michael Barrett and Isaac Matthew Barrett, both of Denton; parents, Rick and Linda Barrett of Denton; grandparents, A.L. and Betty Clark of Denton; aunts, Carolyn Thomson and her husband Bruce of Denton, Dot Wood and her husband Mike of Bowie; uncle, Mike Barrett and his wife Barbara of Nocona Hills; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by grandparents, O.D. and Virginia Barrett.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at Highland Baptist Church, 600 Thomas St., Denton. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Cemetery.
