Kent Alan Metzger, 70, of Sanger died Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.

Mr. Metzger was born on September 30, 1952 in Dallas to Elmer William Metzger, Jr. and Dora Margaret (Klenk) Metzger. He was married to Nancy Lee (Guertler) on February 3, 2007 in Lewisville. He worked as a Senior Project Construction Manager and was a member of Denton Bible Church.

He is survived by wife, Nancy Lee Metzger of Sanger; daughter, Genevieve Metzger (Austin Peeples) of Dallas; sons, Taylor Metzger (Dianna Crowder) of Dallas, Ryan Metzger (Julie) of Dallas, Jonathan Cook (Robin) of Dallas, Joseph Cook (Megan) of Sanger; sisters, Lisa Hildenbrand (Randal) of Richardson, Karen Pittman (Michael) of Plano; brother, Jack Metzger (Patti) of Valley Center, CA; grandchildren, Lucy Metzger, Owen Metzger, Mackenzie Cook, Darah Cook, Jack Cook, Henry Cook, Matilda Cook. He was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Metzger.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2022 in the chapel of Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Dr., Denton.
