Kenneth Worthy, age 55, of The Colony, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 27, 1953 in Waco, Texas to Walton Kenneth Worthy and Julia Elizabeth Ballard Worthy. Kenneth married Rita Riley on January 10, 1976 in Waco. He worked for UPS for 35 years and retired as a supervisor. Kenneth was a member of the Church of Christ, was active in the Boy Scouts of America and was the proud father of an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; daughter, Stacy Worthy of Lewisville; son, Darrell Worthy and wife Sarah of Austin; grandchild; Calum Worthy; sister, Catherine Worthy of Abilene; brother, David Worthy of Waco and nephew and niece, Walton Worthy and Mandi Lancaster both of Abilene.
Funeral service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Flower Mound Cemetery.
