Kenneth (Ken) Wayne Bewley, age 61, of Lewisville went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Dallas as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud "Poppy", and selfless friend to many. His honesty, integrity and giving nature touched all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Lewisville.

He was born April 18, 1946 in Bryan, Texas to John E. and Lillian Thorpe Bewley. Ken married Shirley Mills on August 22, 1969 in Hubbard, Texas. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1964. He then attended East Texas State University and then earned his Master's degree and Doctorate in Education from Baylor University. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville where he was active in bible study and a member of the Fellowship Riders. Ken owned and operated Advantage Benefit Services in Lewisville with his daughter, Jennifer.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley; daughter, Jennifer Bewley Allen of Corinth; son, Jason Bewley and wife, Courtney of Justin; grandchildren, Ryleigh Makenna Allen, Macie Elisabeth Allen, Ethan Lynn Bewley and Elia Rose Bewley; father, John E. Bewley and wife, Norma of Chandler, Arizona; mother, Lillian Bewley of Lewisville; sister, Reba Bewley Wills of Arlington; paternal aunt, Ernie Fincher of Corsicana; four nieces, six nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Bewley Krebs in 2003.
