Obituary

Kenneth Ray Thornhill, Sr., 76, from Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Passed from this life, unexpectedly while traveling near Durant, Oklahoma, on Saturday, October 22, 2022. After they were involved in an automobile accident.

Kenneth was born on October 2, 1946, and raised in Noble and Norman, Oklahoma.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Blanche May Thornhill of the home. His eldest daughter Belinda May Thornhill – Roberts and her husband Jeff Roberts of Hot Springs, Arkansas. His middle daughter Patricia Ann Thornhill – Neely and her husband Kane Neely of Mulberry, Arkansas. His son Kenneth Ray Thornhill Jr. and partner Doug Cato. 8 grandsons – Robert Brock Taaffe, Tyler Barranger Taaffe, Adam Joseph Taaffe, Tyce Alan Thornhill, Evvan Zachary Thornhill - Alred, Landon Hayes Thornhill, Hunter Page Thompson, Reagan Kane Thornhill, and one granddaughter Lauren Olivia Thornhill. 3 great grandsons Brady Adam Joseph Taaffe, Aiden Alan Thornhill, and Jacob Hunter Taaffe. His eldest Brother Glenn Thornhill and wife Katheryn of Noble, OK, sister Barbara Mitchell of Noble, OK, sister Sherian Fipps of Noble, OK, and youngest sister Judy Ellis and husband Wayne of McAlester, OK. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, son - Jimmy Ray Thornhill, grandson – Patrick Scott Kinoshita, 1 brother Don Thornhill, and 3 sisters Betty McCown, Patsy Berglan, and Carolyn Thomason.

Kenneth was born to Carl and Virginia Brown Thornhill in Norman, Oklahoma. He attended school in Noble, Oklahoma. He married Blanche Stout on December 17, 1966, in Norman, OK. He worked in the glass trade, as a painter, heavy equipment operator for Cleveland County Oklahoma roads crew for many years, owned a convenience store, was a contract grower of chickens and hogs for Tyson, Inc., and was a custom home builder in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas before he retired. Kenneth was known for his love for his grandchildren and his goofy sense of humor. He loved to play golf and really liked to fish. He as well would give his time to help out his children, grandchildren, family and friends when they needed it. He had very good common sense and was very big on being honest and good to people.

The family at this time will not be holding a memorial service for Kenneth as Blanche is in the hospital and her recovery and release are undetermined.
