Kenneth Leroy Rice, 96, of Denton, died peacefully, Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living in Denton.

Mr. Rice was born on July 22, 1923 in Newark, NJ to Glenn and Ethel (Lair) Rice. He married Irene Rey on July 25, 1948. They were married for 71 years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Sigler, and both his parents.

He worked as a carpenter and builder for most of his life; as well as working on the family farm in his younger years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling and camping trips with his family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Irene Rice of Denton; daughter, Diane Gill and husband Bruce of Trophy Club; son, Larry Rice and wife Kathy of Savannah, NY; grandchildren, Jessica Rice, Lynn Mills and Peter, Christopher Gill, Bradley Gill and wife Meghan, Erick Rice and wife Lindsey, Sandy Floyd, and husband Vince; great-grandchildren, Sarah Mills, Katelyn Mills, Lauren Mills, Jordan Rice, and Samantha Floyd.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, at Trophy Club Country Club...  (time to be determined) followed by lunch . A Memorial Service will be held in Clinton, NJ after the passing of wife, Irene and interment will be in the Grandin Cemetery, where both their remains will be buried in a family plot.
