Kenneth Gray Purvis, Sr., age 83, of Indianapolis, in, passed away Monday, April 23, 2007 at Medical Center of Lewisville, TX. Mr. Purvis was born October 01, 1923 in Cheraw, South Carolina to Claude E. and Helena G. Purvis. He retired after a career of over 30 years in U.S. Army Finance. Kenneth was a member of the Methodist church, the Masonic Lodge and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Kenneth married the love of his life, Alice Clay, February 24, 1945 in Alton, IL. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Alice Purvis; two daughters, Alice and Candace ; five sons, Kenneth, Jr., Le'Mont, Andamo, Fabian and Brent; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends. The Purvis family will receive friends and relatives from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, April 28th, 2007 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville. The funeral service will begin at 3pm on Saturday following the visitation. The service will be officiated by Officer Brian Shepherd.
