Kenneth Louis Chancellor, 72, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016 in Denton, Texas. Kenneth was born in Bowie, TX on February 8, 1943 the son of Louis J. Chancellor and Glena Jo Pirtle Chancellor. Kenneth graduated from Bowie High School in 1961 and went on to work for the Montague County Sheriff's department and later retired from the Denton County Sheriff's department. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 50 years Betty Browning Chancellor; and one daughter Tabitha Chancellor of Plano and one son Corey Chancellor of Denton. Kenneth is also survived by his brother Lynn Chancellor of Alvord, TX as well as two brother-in-laws Gerald W. Browning and Vernon Browning Jr.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 12, 2016 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, TX. A visitation will take place on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust in Denton.
