Keni Gibson, 71, a longtime resident of Gainesville, passed away peacefully at her home on April 7, 2019.

She was born in Indianapolis Indiana on July 7, 1947, to the late Kenneth Washburn and Evelyn Pollard Washburn. Keni was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Pattie Jane Anderson, Neva Louise Ferguson, and Beckie Ellen Fergeson.

She was employed by Valenite for 30 years and later worked part time for First State Bank.

Keni was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Keni is survived by her husband of 29 years Charles Gibson, daughter Jennifer Eberhart and husband Mitchell, son Kendall Bass and wife Tasha, step daughters Kim Cleveland and husband Trey and Cherisse Ashcraft and husband Keith; her sister Julie McCrory of Denton; grandchildren Cole and Izzy Eberhart, Ayden and Keleigh Bass, Carson Cleveland and wife Dani, Graham Cleveland, Blair and Channing Ashcraft and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 2 PM at George J. Carroll funeral home with Larry Kremling officiating.
