Katie Ann Woolsey, 88 was born September 7, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas to U. M. Tadlock Sr. and Lucy Virginia Tadlock. She spent the majority of her childhood and early adult years in West Texas and moved to Denton, TX in the 1960's where she lived out the remainder of her life. She passed away Tuesday June 2, 2020.

She was married to Harold Woolsey in 1988 until his passing on July 30, 2012. She worked as a nurse at Silver Leaves Nursing Home in Denton and the Denton State School. She was a proud Christian and a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Denton Texas, but she was most proud of her two daughters Belinda and Lucy, her stepchildren Connie and Tim, and their spouses Randy, Billy, and Barbara; her brother Don and wife Pat; her eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and thirteen great great grandchildren. She also deeply loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her dear husband Harold; her parents and three (oldest) brothers U. M. Tadlock Jr., William Harris Tadlock, and Edwin Myrick Tadlock; her two daughters Belinda and Lucy; grandson Darrel; and two great grand children Jason and Abigail.

Katie excelled at many things, but her greatest gift to the world was her ability to love and forgive.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Avalon Memory Care. We look forward to celebrating her life with you at her service and all are welcome. If you are unable to attend we would encourage you to commit a random act of kindness in her honor.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday June 6, 2020 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust in Denton with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating. The family will be at the funeral home at 9 a.m. for visitation.
