Kathryn Hodges Griffin, born in Aubrey, TX, passed away peacefully at age 89 in Denton on March 22, 2015. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Samual Hodges and Martha Weddle Hodges, two brothers, Sam and Charles Hodges, by her husband, Raymond. B. "Tommy" Griffin, and her grandson, Brandon Griffin. She is survived by one brother, Billy Jack Hodges and wife Judy of Clarendon, TX one sister, Evalynn Lefler of Lewisville, TX, three sons: Charles Griffin and wife Stella of Mills Creek, OK, Wayne Griffin and wife Michelle of Highland Village, TX, and Richard Griffin and wife Waunita of Krum, TX, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
Kathryn retired from the Denton State School accounting department after 27 years, and continued her support with volunteer work. She was actively involved in ABWA and the Denton Triangle Lions Club, and was an active member and supporter of the First Christian Church of Aubrey.
A visitation will be held 6-8:00 pm on Friday, March 27 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust Denton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday March 28 at the First Baptist Church of Krugerville, with burial following at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX.
