Karen Cecile (Oppecker) Riley, age 48, of Lewisville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in Denton.

She was born November 1, 1959 in Camden, New Jersey to Frank B. Oppecker, Jr. and Janet A. Peterson Oppecker. Karen attended Butler University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama, Voice & Dance. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She married Donald K. Riley on August 14, 1981 in Fortville, Indiana.

Karen was a member and officer of the American Eagle Chapter of Harley Owners Group and a member of the Ladies of Harley.

Since moving to Texas in 1989 she worked for Gymboree Play Center of Grapevine and was a Boutique Leader for Stein Mart of Lewisville. Most recently she operated her own business "Rainbow Babe" which provided Parent-Child Interactive Play Classes with a Christian Perspective.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; parents, Dr. Frank Oppecker and Janet Oppecker of Athens, Georgia and brother, Kenneth Oppecker of Athens, Georgia.

Funeral service will be held 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia on Wednesday, January 23, 2008.
