Justin Lee Welch, age 36, of Denton passed away Saturday May 9, 2009 at Plaza medical Center in Fort Worth.

Justin was born January 22, 1973 in Denton, Texas. He attended Denton High School and was a journeyman plumber.  He was a football enthusiast and a fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. He most enjoyed camping and spending time outside with his family, especially with his children, Corey and Courtnie.

Justin is survived by his wife Tara Welch, daughter Courtnie Welch, and son Cory Welch all of Denton; also by his stepfather Phil Bartee of Vernon; sisters, Amy Torres and husband Fred of Aubrey, Valerie Kohl of Aubrey; stepsister Nicole Ellett of Irving ;grandmothers, Melba Welch of Denton, Gloria Watson of Valley View, Clara Bartee of Denton;  nieces, Jessica Sims and husband Justin, Emily Torres and Baily Torres; his dog "Lil" and numerous other relatives and friends .He was preceded in death by his father Larry Welch and mother Sylvia Welch-Bartee.

A Funeral Service will be 2 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in the chapel of Mulkey- Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. Father Isaac Orozco will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park Denton. The visitation will be 7 to 8 pm Tuesday May 12, 2009 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Fred Torres, Jeff Kohl, Mile Philips, John Derek McDaniel, Link Chalon, Kelly Shaw, Brant Weatherford, and Eric Thomas.

A memorial fund has been established for his family's care. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the JUSTIN WELCH MEMORIAL FUND c/o Jennifer Stinger at any Wells Fargo Bank Location.
