Obituary

J Earl Cook, 73, of Denton, died Monday December 24, 2012 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. He was born April 26, 1939 in Shirley, Arkansas to Thomas Jefferson and Catherine (Coley) Cook. He was a retired Engineer with the Texas Department of Transportation. A member of the Denton Bible Church, and attended public school and some college.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife Amy Cook of Denton, daughters Sonia Jayne Cook Linker and husband Philip of Keller; Teresa Jones of Waco; Sherry Alm of Mason, TX and Dr. Susan Overstreet and husband Joseph Sachwartz of Carrollton; sons Wayne Cook of Las Vegas, NV; Doug Overstreet and wife Patti Richardson; George Gierisch and wife Lee Ann of Trophy Club; sisters Anna Pruitt and husband Doug of Denton; Lavonia King of Atwater, CA; Ada Fern Busby and husband Frank of Reno, NV and brother Seth Cook and wife Millie of Atwater, CA. Twelve Grandchildren.
A visitation was held at the Denton Bible Church on Friday December 28, 2012 at 1:30pm and a Funeral service followed at 2:00pm with the Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, TX. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
