June Mallison, age 68, of Highland Village, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007, in Lewisville.
She was born June 24, 1938 in Hugo, Oklahoma to William Swink and Daisy Lee Lick Swink. June married Max Dale Mallison on June 24, 1962, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1999. She and her husband owned and operated Mallison's Jewelry in Lewisville. Max and June opened Mallison's Jewelry in October 1978. The business not only served Lewisville as a successful jewelry store, but was the place to go to chat and catch up on current events. After Max died, June and her daughter Marilyn, continued the business and suffered a disastrous fire on April 13, 2000. Six months later the business reopened. The fierce competition with the "big business's", and June's illness finally closed the business on September 29, 2006. She was a successful business woman, a wonderful mother, and a loyal friend to those she loved.
She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Mallison of Plano and Marilyn Donaldson and her husband, Richard of Flower Mound; son, Donald Mallison of Highland Village; three grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a sister, Wilma Foster of Mayesville, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions made to the American Heart Association.
