Obituary

Julie passed away on January 9, 2013 in the presence of her beloved family. Julie was born September 7, 1957 in Shreveport, LA.She is survived by her husband, Jim Diebold; her mother Julia Buckelew; her children Jessica Lee, James Daniel and Joseph William; and extended family: Mary Ann and James W. Diebold, Sr.; sisters-in-law Laura and Julie; brothers-in-law John and Joseph; her cherished nephews and nieces, aunts, numerous cousins and countless personal and professional friends.Julie was preceded in death by her father and brother, W.F. Buckelew Jr. and W.F. Buckelew, III and her grandparents.
Julie was a devoted and loving mom, spending countless hours at her children's school and sports activities.She ran half marathons, played tennis, enjoyed sailing and traveled all over the world.Julie received her M.Ed. degree in counseling from UNT and practiced as an LPC for many years.She was a 500 hour certified Yoga instructor and shared her love of yoga with the Denton community. Julie was blessed with many close and loving friends who will miss her brilliant smile and "wicked funny" sense of humor.
Funeral arrangements are by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.Services will be held Saturday, January 12th at 2 PM at Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church; 300 W. Oak St. in Denton, TX, officiated by Associate Pastor Lisa Patterson.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Ste 1050, Washington, DC 20005, www.alsa.org ; The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
