Julia Ann Roberts Strickland, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Aubrey, TX on February 1, 2018. Julia was born in Paris, TX on October 3, 1940 the daughter of Carl Jack Roberts and Bonnie Mae Smith Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Ray Strickland; two daughters, Melissa Ann and husband Keith Villarreal of Aubrey and Donalee and husband Rick Gibson of Amarillo; two sons, David Blake and wife Anita Strickland of Denton and Bobby Gene Strickland of Denton. Fourteen grandchildren: Tonya Harris, Lauri Henderson, Lee Redfearn, Caleb Villareal, Blake Strickland, Alicia Strickland, Jake Strickland, KJ Ledoux, Catherine Ledoux, Elizabeth Jones, Emily Gibson, Ricky Gibson, Hailey Strickland and Bethany Strickland and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Amelia Shrum Walters Allen and her daughter Christy Ann Strickland.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Elmer Cummings and Brandon Henderson. Pallbearers will be Anson Harris, Blake Strickland, Danny Hampton, Jake Strickland, Jim Milacek, Joey Saxon, KJ Ledoux and Lee Redfearn.
Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Sunday February 4, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church in Aubrey, TX, with a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Belew Cemetery, Aubrey.
