IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith Ann
Timberlake Winslow
August 25, 1953 – November 26, 2021
Judith Ann Timberlake Winslow, age 68, was born to James and Doris Timberlake on August 25, 1953, in Texarkana, Arkansas, and passed away November 26, 2021, in Flower Mound, Texas.
Judy proudly attended Baylor University, where she was a Homecoming Princess and Baylor Beauty in 1973. She graduated in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in education and a minor in French. With an ardent passion for learning, it was to no one's surprise that she continued in this field for over 30 years as an educator within the Denton Independent School District. In that time, hundreds of children benefitted from her profound sense of kindness and attention but none more so than her own two sons, Stephen Garrett (born 1978) and Jeffery Warren (born 1981). Steve and Jeff were the apples of her eye as she spent her life showing them God's love through word and action.
Judy's regard for the Bible was tantamount to her upstanding character and devotion to the Church. From a very early age, she was regularly involved in community groups and bible studies. And as an adult, she was a member of several churches, the most important of which began in 1990 when she joined Denton Bible. A regular attendee and frequent volunteer, Judy was a familiar face at the church's campus locations. She was an active member of the choir and was often described as a remarkably talented singer. She derived much joy by connecting with people through spiritual songs and, like her father before her, sought to share the love of Christ with everyone she met. Judy was a beautiful light to all who crossed her path and one who many would agree never met a stranger.
On April 8, 2005, she married James Winslow. Having met at church through a mutual friend, they spent many years serving God together, even in their retirement. Traveling the world and visiting family across the country, Judy and Jim were never short on adventure. Their marriage was enjoyed and appreciated by all who knew them and was the source of immense joy in the last years of her life.
John 14; 1-3
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?" And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may also be."
Judy is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a loving husband: James Winslow. Sons: Stephen Garrett Hildebrand and Jeffrey Warren Hildebrand. Brother: Fred Timberlake. Sisters: Becky Harrell and Jan Lavender. Stepson: Christopher Winslow; Stepdaughter: Angie Winslow Hall, Daughters-in-law: Karlee Hildebrand and Renee Hildebrand.
