Obituary

Juanita Eggleston Irick, 91, of Aubrey, died Saturday May 14, 2011 at her home in Aubrey.
She was born on July 3, 1919 in Denton to Arthur and Belvia (Pugh) Eggleston. She was married to Howard Irick on July 2, 1939 in Denton. She was a graduate of Denton High School, a member of the Cross-Elm Home Demonstration Club, Aubrey Needle Club and the First Christian Church of Aubrey. She had served as Aubrey City Secretary, acting Postmaster of Aubrey, Election Judge, and Democrat Chairman of Precinct#1. She was self-employed as a wedding caterer.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday May 16, 2011 at Gateway United Baptist Church, Denton. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Gateway Untied Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave, Denton. Christal Fisher and Rev. Buddy Owens will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery, Aubrey.
Pallbearers will be: Chrystopher Owens, Les Tribble, Derek Waters, Jeremy Irick, Ryan Irick and Matthew Hunter.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Irick of Aubrey; daughters, Evalois Owens and her husband Buddy of Aubrey, Vinita Tribble and her husband Leslie of Aubrey; sister, Margie Garrett of Aubrey; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Irick; sister, Viola Brookshier; brothers, Estil Eggleston, Clarence Eggleston, L.D. Eggleston.
