Juan Eugenio Davila, 54, of Ponder, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born April 6, 1952 in Elsa, TX to Fidel and Petra (Garcia) Davila. He was married to Linda Verleen Whitlock on December 30, 1979 in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ponder, and was employed as a dispatcher with a Cable Co.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Febraury 13, 2007 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Kim Broadstreet officiating. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2007.

Mr. Davila is survived by his wife Linda Verleen Davila, of Ponder; three brothers, Fidel A. Davila of Henderson, Guadalupe Davila and Jesus Davila, both of Elsa; seven sisters, Manuela Veanuva of Denton, Sofia Villalpando of Elsa, Josefa Perez of Denton, Adelina Uribe of Lake Worth, Fla., Francisca SanMiguel of Prosper, Maria Magalena Villalin of Elsa and Rosa Alba Ponce of West Palm Beach, Fla.
