Joyce N. Erwin, 68, of Denton, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born April 14, 1937 in Sherman, TX to Blake and Hazel F. (Bell) Thompson. She was married to James A. (Rosie) Erwin, in Denton, on April 6, 1964. She was retired from the Emily Fowler Public Library as a Library Clerk. A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Highland Baptist Church, with Rev. Buddy Owens, officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Creek Cemetery. The family will be at the \\funeral home for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2006. Pallbearers will be Taylor Avants, Emilee Higgs, Bobby W. Corn, Jr., Al Donta, Harvey Edwards, and Don Sales. Mrs. Erwin is survived by her husband, James A. Erwin, of Denton, daughters, Vickie Lynn Landers and husband David, of Winnsboro, Margaret Lee Smith, and Lisa Higgs, of Denton, and Denise Sales and husband Don, of Valley View, a son David Erwin and wife Lisa, of Franklin, IN. a sister, Donna Honea, of Lewisville, and brothers, Larry L. Thompson, Denison, Billy Thompson, and John Thompson, of Denton, Ted Thompson, of Winnsboro, and Charles Thompson, of Mesa, Arizona, Ten, Grandchildren, Delisha, Bobby, Benjamin, Eric, Taylor, Amy, Jeremy, Emilee, Lauren and Meg and Six Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son Bobby W. Corn.
