With sad hearts we are sharing the passing of our Joe from Leiomyosarcoma. Joseph Leon Holman, 47, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Dallas, TX on November 17, 2018.
Mr. Holman was born on March 27, 1971 in Midwest City, OK and raised by loving parents Jim and Marilyn (Skaggs) Holman of McAlester, OK. Joseph was a graduate of Indianola High School. He married Rebekah (Becky) Luna on November 19, 1990 in Irving, TX and in 2002 moved to Lake Dallas where they raised 2 sons. Joe was an amazing husband and outstanding father. Mr. Holman was hard working, dedicated, and much loved in his role as Dallas Distribution Center Team Manager for McCormick and Company in Irving where he worked for sixteen years. Joe treasured spending time with loved ones by the ocean as well as fishing, hunting and golf.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Rebekah Luna of Lake Dallas; sons, Eli Holman (Kasey) of Corinth and their son, Lucas Holman, Blake Holman of Austin; parents, Jim and Marilyn Holman of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Lynn Green (Gary) of Coppell.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton.
