Jordan Howard Evans, 58, of Valley View, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Medical City in Denton.
Mr. Evans was born on November 23, 1960 in Arlington, TX to James Harvey and Mollie Belle (Howard) Evans. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1978. Jordan married the love of his life Kathy Evans on December 9, 1992 in Wichita Falls, TX; in 1998 they made Valley View their home. Kathy was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2004. Jordan stood strong and was by her side till her death on July 20,2014.
Jordan was a very hard worker who started in the construction industry going from driving a water truck to being a supervisor for GILCO Contracting in Burleson. Jordan had over 30 years in industry and touched many lives. When Jordan was not working, you could find him hunting or rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Sundays were made for football and grilling with family and friends. He was a true Cowboy's fan, never wavering his loyalty, no matter how bad the season was going.
Jordan's greatest joy was his family and he is survived by daughters, Melissa Hernandez and her husband Butch of Valley View, Catherine Wade and her husband Corey of Celina, Jessica Conklin and her husband Ernie Ianace of Plano, Ashley Evans of Arlington; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hernandez, Trenton Hernandez, Grace Wade, Jayden Wade, Gabriel Ianace, Dylan Evans, Sophia Ianace; great-grandchildren, Isabella Hernandez, Alexander Hernandez; brother-in-law, Randy Benson; father-in-law, Billy Rex Benson.
A celebration of life will be held at Lone Star Lodge and Marina, May 11, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Come in your best western attire, football gear, or camo.
