John Burgess Williams, born May 13, 1945 in Kerrville, TX, son of John Dowell and Vera Dell Burgess Williams, grew up in Athens, Georgia, attended the University of Georgia and North Texas State University where he was awarded his Doctorate in Microbiology. He taught microbiology and worked for the Dallas County School System. He was a member of Ft. Caroline United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, FL and recently joined the Sherman Drive Church of Christ in Denton, TX. He is survived by his sister, Judith Williams Bradford (John David) of Jacksonville, FL; one nephew and two nieces.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Roselawn Memorial Park.
