John P. Whitley, 84 of Cross Roads, TX passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1926 in Shreveport, LA, the son of Rupert S. and Burdie (Lynch) Whitley. He was married to Geraldine A. Rauh on May 12, 1962 in New York. He served in the U S Navy 1943 to 1946. He attended Louisiana Poly Technical University, The University of Texas, and Tulane University. He was Vice President for Marketing in the Electronics field.

There will be a family gathering at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 2 P.,M. until 5 P.M.

Mr. Whitley is survived by his wife, Geraldine A. Whitley of Cross Roads, TX daughter, Patricia Anne (Trish) Whitley of Mead, Co and a son Brian Whitley of Aubrey, and two Grandchildren.
