John Adams Upchurch, 72, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.  He was born April 27, 1937 in Lewisville,  Texas  to Charlie and Myrtle (Lusk) Upchurch.  He was married to Carol King on July 17, 1965 in Fort Worth, TX   He was a Diesel Mechanic and Truck Driver, and a member of the Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2009 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton  with Rev. Kim Broadstreet, officiating.  Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery at Krum.  The family will be at the Funeral Home for visitation on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 6 P.M; until 8 P.M.

Mr. Upchurch is survived by his wife, Carol Upchurch, of Denton, Daughters, Bwana Kay Francis, of Leroy, OH  Lisa Ann Anderson, of Ponder, Tammie Danette England, of Mineola, Renea Upchurch, of Alice,  Son, John Adams Upchurch, Jr. of Alice,  and sisters Pat Davis, of Decatur, and Joy Teague, of Whitesboro and twelve Grandchildren.
