John Marion McBee, 78 of Gainesville TX Passed away peacefully on August 27, 2021.

Born April 28, 1943, in Denton Texas to Margaret and Fred R. McBee.  He was the fourth of 5 boys and he had lifelong hobby of fishing.  He served in the Army from 1963 until 1965. On May 19, 1967, he married Olva Nell Sebastian in Denton, they then moved to Gainesville for his job at Weber aircraft.  He retired from Weber In 2011 and then worked part time at the Gainesville golf course as a hobby.

He is survived by son Kirk Wallace McBee and wife Johna of Whitesboro, daughter, Angela Nicole Johnson and husband Kyle of Ponder; grandchildren, Jermiah Bartlett, Stacea McBee, Briley McBee, and Garren McBee of Whitesboro, Trevor McBee and Evan Johnson of Ponder; brothers, Rives McBee of Irving, Fred McBee of Denton, Ronnie McBee of Gordonville and Jimmy McBee of Gordonville.

A visitation will be held in Denton at the Mulkey-Bowles Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St. Denton, TX on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, 602 Lindsay St. Gainesville, TX from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
