John Marinace, age 83, of Lewisville, formerly from New York, passed away Monday afternoon following a long illness. John was born July 17, 1923 in the Bronx, New York to Emil Marinace and Florence Irene Conner. John was a bombardier flying B17's for the RAF 381st Bomb Group; 532nd Squadron. He received numerous commendations such as a Purple Heart; The Distinguished Flying Cross; The Air Medal and numerous others. John is survived by his wife, Claire Marinace of Lewisville; daughter, Claire Orent of Lewisville; son, David Marinace and wife, Lise of New York; brother Thomas Marinace and wife, Jane of New York; grandchildren, Courtney Orent, Kristopher Orent, Amanda Marinace, Coner Orent and Matthew Marinace; great grandchild, Gavin Kristopher Orent and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
