John Cleveland Lacy, 77, of Denton, passed away on Saturday morning, May 27, 2023 in his home.

John was born on March 22, 1946 to Kenneith Freeman Lacy and Roberta Sikes Lacy in Shreveport, Louisiana.

John met Phyllis at Richland Hills Church of Christ. They shared a deep faith and stayed active in church through the decades. He had a love for working in missions and in the audio and video department.

His father, mother, and his sister Nancy Ann Williams and nephew Trey Lacy predeceased John in death. He is survived by his wife: Phyllis Lacy, his three stepsons Kepp, Scott, and Stefan Andrews, and his six grandchildren: Justin, Lacy, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Cassie, and Faith. He has a surviving brother, Ken Lacy from Hawaii and his daughter Laura Lacy, niece's and nephew Cyndee Harris Lisa Walker and Rodney Williams and cousins Aven Lacy Rountree, her daughter Lacy Rountree Stanley, Margy Lacy McMennamy, Glenn Lacy, David Lacy, & many other nieces, nephews and family that he loved.

A viewing will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton from 5-7pm. There will be a Graveside service at 1pm. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Bourland cemetery in Keller, Texas
