John Truitt, Jr., 94 passed away on Monday October 3, 2022. He was born May 3, 1928, in Rocky, Oklahoma the son of John Melton Truitt and Martha Clara Merrill Truitt.

He served and retired from the Air Force; John also retired from University of North Texas.

John is survived by his loving, kind wife, Joyce Nell Truitt; her children and their spouses, and grandchildren; a daughter, grandson and spouse, great grandson; several nieces and a nephew.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lois, Pearl, Beatrice, Eunice, and a brother George.

Viewing will be held from 10am until 12 pm on Thursday October 6, 2022 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, Texas. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 Northwest Grand Blvd, OklahomaCity, Ok on Monday October 10, 2022 at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Denton Good Samaritan Village, 2500 Hinkle Dr., Denton, Texas; or VNA Ann's Haven Hospice, 1204 W. University Dr. #150, Denton, TX.
