Obituary

John Daniel Holley, 84, of Denton, died peacefully Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Integrity Transitional Hospital in Denton.
John D. was born on November 3, 1929 in Malvern, Alabama to Daniel Robert and Fannie (Robinson) Holley, the youngest of 6 children. He was married to Alice Louise Dill, the love of his life on April 11, 1953 in Ocilla, Georgia. He would quickly let you know they were married for 51 years, 3 months and 8 days after she passed.
Dad played baseball in the Giants organization and served in the United States Army. He travelled Texas and Oklahoma as a wholesale furniture representative. He was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, horses, barbeque and ice cream!
Mr. Holley is survived by Susan, Wally and Allison Chvojan of Dallas; Danny, Tanya, Caroline and Adam Holley of Denton, Erin, Don and Ariel Dickson of O'Fallon, Illinois; and niece Robbie Jane Reed of Redwood City, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, and his grandson, Jake Holley.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Rev. Lisa Patterson will officiate the service.
