John James Gannon, III of Denton, Texas passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 72, after a beautifully fulfilling life.

John was born on August 18, 1951, to John James Jr. and Margaret Gannon in Houston, TX. After John graduated from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory he graduated from the University of Houston with a Master's Degree in Finance and Accounting, kickstarting his long and successful professional career in Finance. He had numerous executive positions throughout his career which culminated with his creating and managing Small Business Administration departments in several large and regional banking institutions.

In 2011 John met Yrene Romo in Tomball, Texas and were married in October of that year. The combined family of John's 3 daughters and Yrene's 3 sons created what he lovingly called "Our Brady Bunch". John loved basketball, which he played through college and particularly enjoyed playing golf. He loved reading, listening to music and watching old John Wayne movies. He had a wonderful voice and a God given talent for singing. He was always a happy, enthusiastic, positive, caring man. Even throughout his very difficult illness he was always concerned for everyone else and always lifting and encouraging others in their many aspects of life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile for everyone.

John is survived by his wife Yrene Gannon, daughters Lauren Gannon and Katie Gannon, Stepsons, Willem Baas and wife Kelsey Baas, Mathijs Baas and wife Jazmine Baas, Alexander Baas, and Son-in-Law Mike Henderson, Brother Keith Gannon, Sister Nancy Gannon Schwarzburg and Brother-in-Law Gary Schwarzburg, Nephew Cody Schwarzburg and wife Brianna Schwarzburg, Niece Taylor Gannon and many friends who loved and respected him dearly. He has left a tremendous void and will be dearly missed.

He was predeceased by his parents John James Jr. and Margaret Gannon, brother Kevin Gannon, and daughter Jennifer Gannon.
