John H. Dean, age 88 of Gainesville, passed away Thursday October 20, 2005 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1917 in Changloo, La. to William A. and Sara (Moore) Dean. He married Opal Marie Cundiff on September 24, 1938 in Tioga, Tx. She passed away September 28, 1976. He was a Carpenter in the construction industry.

Survivor include his daughters Mary Owens of Aubrey, Dorothy Gaines of Bowie, Judy Smith of Keller, Jamie Law of Grapevine, and Sally Willburn of North Richland Hills. Son Donald Dean of Austin. Sisters Ruby Hunt and Addell Slone of The Colony. Bessie Lynch of Aubrey. Brother Hershel Dean of Houston. Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Henry Dean in 1957.

Graveside Services will be 10 am Saturday Oct. 22, 2005 at Green Valley Cemetery. The Rev. Buddy Owens will officiate the service.
