After a life-long battle with Muscular Dystrophy, Joey Ryan, age 22, of Carrollton, TX, peacefully went on with the angels to our Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2008. He was born May 27, 1986 in Rock Springs, Wyoming and moved to Carrollton with his family in 1994..

Joey was a 2004 graduate of Hebron High School was on the Hebron Hawk Football and Baseball teams and was a student at Brookhaven Community College.

He is survived by his parents, Tim and Cyndi Ryan; sisters, Daiquiri and Hope Ryan; brother, Jaxon Ryan, all of Carrollton; grandmothers, Diana Ryan of Denton and Blanca Moreno of Dallas; grandparents, Ben and Abigail Ramirez and great grandmother, Benita Vargas, all of Artesia, New Mexico; he is also survived by numerous extended family members and many friends. A rosary prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church of Carrollton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the church. Interment will follow at McCurley  Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends to celebrate his life at a Wake in his honor from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9th, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
