Joe Dale Hopkins, 64, of Valley View, passed away on Sunday, August 16,2009 at his home.  He was born May 8, 1946 in Clarksville, TX  to Floyd and Irene (Dafferin) Hopkins.  He attended Public schools, and was a Painter.  He served in the Marine Corps, Army, and the National Guard.  He was a member of the VFW.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in  the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home,  705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Sam Redfearn, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.  The family will be at the Funeral home on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 for visitation.

Mr. Hopkins is survived by a daughter, Michelle Salsbury, of Denton,  a son, Floyd Joe Hopkins, of Valley View, and a sister,  Helen Robinson, of Mabank, and  Three Grandchildren.
