Joe Bill Davis, born in Frisco, TX on April 16, 1930, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at his long time residence of 14 years, Senior Care Denton.

Joe Bill loved to fish, repair anything with a motor, cook breakfast for his family, play guitar, sing, and cut a gig in order to bring a smile to anyone's face.  He will be remembered as a man who deeply loved his family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Katie Elizabeth Davis (Williams) and George Allen Davis, Sr, 8 siblings, his daughter, Connie Botello, son, Freddy Dawson, and grandchildren, Richard Davis, Jessica Davis, Randy Green, and Jason Dempsey.  He is survived by Pat Davis, wife of 51 years, children, Gary Davis, Mona Green, Billy Don Davis, Tana Dempsey, and Teresa Ellison, sisters, Dode Smith and Sissy Davis, many grand and great-grandchildren, and numerous friends.

Services will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Slidell, Slidell, TX, at 2 pm, with Rev. Todd Stevens officiating. And a visitation and viewing from 1 pm to 2 pm. Burial will be in the Slidell Cemetery.
