Joe Wallace Bryant, 63, of Denton, TX went to Heaven peacefully on
Friday, October 5, 2007. He was a Lifetime Master Mason Member of the
Stanfield Lodge in Denton, TX. He was born in Sacramento, CA on Sept.
7, 1944 to William "Bill" Bryant and Gretchen Hodge Bryant. He spent
his childhood years in Denton, TX, Abilene, TX, St. Louis, MO,
Greenville, SC, Miami Beach, FL, and Jasper, TX. He was a Jasper
Bulldog Football player, a 1963 graduate of Denton HS and attended UNT.
He was employed at Moore's Business Forms as a Press Operator from 1966 -1987,
UNT from 1988-1998, Denton Regional Medical Center from 1998-2005, and
United Copper Industries from 2005-2006. He is survived by his Father,
William (Bill) Bryant and wife, Jessie Ellis Bryant of Denton, one daughter,
Kimberly Bryant Manzer and husband, John Manzer, and one Granddaughter,
Gretchen Jewel Manzer ofDenton, one sister, Gretchen Bryant Campbell and brother-in law,
Grayford Campbell and nephew, Derek Campbell of Ft. Worth, TX, a nephew, Blaine Foy
and children of Myrtle Beach, SC, one Aunt, Nova BryantDickson of Houston, TX, and one Uncle,
Robert Hodge and wife, Ann Hodge of Denver, CO, and many fun, loving first cousins.
He was preceded in death by his precious Mother, Gretchen Bryant, two brothers, Robert Bryant
and William "Bill" Bryant, Jr. of Denton. Joe loved trains, planes and WWII books and films.
He also loved fence building, gardening, his pets, geography and all music. He was a
wonderful Father.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Friday, October 19 at theFirst Cumberland Presbyterian
Church of Denton with Pastor John Lindsayofficiating. Mulkey Mason Funeral Home is in charge
of the services.
