IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jodie Denise
Clibbens
February 12, 1972 – February 2, 2026
Jodie Denise Clibbens, 53, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Monday, February 2, in Denton, Texas.
Jodie was born on February 12, 1972, at Flow Memorial Hospital in Denton, Texas, to Jim and Barbara Clibbens. She graduated from Denton High School in 1994 and proudly walked across the stage to receive her diploma. During her younger years, she was actively involved in the Special Olympics.
Jodie had a love of learning and pursuing new experiences. She attended college classes in guitar, dance, swimming, and karate, as it was always her goal to attend college. She was also a member of the Denton Handbell Band, performing at many locations throughout Denton.
Jodie especially loved Elvis Presley and once performed her own Elvis concert for family and friends at a local recreation center. Her parents had a difficult time getting her off the stage, and she was rewarded with a standing ovation. It was a joyful memory treasured by all who attended.
She is survived by her loving parents, Jim and Barbara Clibbens; her sisters, Helen Stewart (Terry) and Deena (Max); her brother, Jim (Michele); her sister-in-love, Cathy (Ray); and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandmothers, Grandma Clibbens and Granny.
Visitation will be held at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust Street, Denton, Texas 76201, on Sunday, February 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Monday, February 9, at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and residents of Corinth Rehabilitation Suites in Corinth, Texas for the unconditional love and amazing care they provided during her time in their care, and the compassionate staff at Solaris Hospice for their loving care of Jodie and for helping her look beautiful every day.
