Joan Rita Hawkins, 74, of Denton, Died Wednesday February 21, 2007 at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Hawkins was born May 1, 1932 in Madison Heights, Michigan to Clarence and Genevieve (Gorley) Kern. She was married to Donald Charles Hawkins on August 27, 1949 in Madison Heights, Michigan. She was Catholic and a Homemaker.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Friday February 23, 2007. Msgr. Charles King will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ruehs of Copper Canyon, Dawn Sweatmon of Denton; brother, George Kern of Grindstone City, Michigan; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
