Jo Lynn Horn, 59, of Era, formerly of Roanoke, passed away on January 27, 2010 after a battle with cancer. She was born February 1, 1950 in Roanoke, to Jimmy Joe and Mary Gertrude (Alexander) Hawthorn. She graduated from Northwest High School, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke. She was retired from the City of Lewisville Parks and Recreation Department. Her love of people and the outdoors led her to continue her career on a part-time basis at Lewisville Lake Toll Booth, where she had many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Roanoke with Rev. Bruce Barber, officiating. Burial will follow in the Medlin Cemetery, Trophy Club, TX. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Sunday January 31, 2010 for visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
Ms. Horn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deadre and Barry Wolzen and grandchildren Jacob and Mollie Wolzen and her two babies Tuffy and Teddy, brother and sister-in-law Andy and Cathy Hawthorn, niece Sarah and nephew Caleb and many family and friends.
