Jewell D. Roberts Jr., age 86, of Burleson, TX, passed away,
Wednesday, October 25, 2006.

He was born September 22, 1920 in Port Arthur, TX, to J.D. and Maggie Allen Roberts. He grew up in East Point, GA. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Melba Brantley in 1950. Jewell was an avid stamp collector and genealogist.

He is survived by his wife, Melba of Burleson; daughters, Margaret Jacobsen and husband Glenn of Flower Mound and Leila Huhman and husband David of Lancaster, CA; half sister, Velma Bain of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister-in-law, Elnyr M. Roberts of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Valerie and Scott Huhman, Kyle Holland and Patrick Holland, Edward Holland and wife Claudia and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother Albert A. Roberts in 1986 and a half brother, Lionel Roberts in 2003.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2006, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
