Jesse Leon Overby, 62 years old of Aubrey, TX was called home to God on October 8, 2010. He was born on September 17, 1948 in Stanton, TX to Lee and Willodean (Cornett) Overby. He was a professional Truck driver with 40 years of driving experience. He was married to Linda Sue Golden of Plainview, TX on June 26, 1967. They lived in or around the Plainview area until 1981 when they moved to the DFW area. Jesse was a Beloved Husband, Father, and Uncle. He was a diligent worker who never turned down a task. He was a good friend and neighbor. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Sue Overby of Aubrey, TX, a son, Brent Dwayne Overby of Alamosa, CO and a brother, Michael Ray Overby of Hale Center, TX. Jesse had many nieces and nephews. Chris and Jeannie Hardin of Krum, TX, Rhonda and Darren Brinlee of Ponder, TX, Tech-Sgt. Kevin and Celica Belcher of Paint Rock, TX, John Pitchford, Jr. and Billy Pitchford, both of Cove, AR, Steven, Brandon, and Brandy. He also had great nieces and nephews also, Chaunsey Hardin-Penrod, Spc. Kiefer Hardin, Brittney and Michael Brinlee and great-great niece, Gabriella Grace Pearl Hardin. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Frank and Esther Pearl Golden.

A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Blue Mound United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Brooks, officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetic Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandra, VA 22312
