Jesse Milton High, born December 3rd, 1914 passed away Saturday April 28th, 2007 at Southern Knights Assisted Living Home in Tomball, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son Jan Michael, who died at birth, and wife Martha Pennington. He had recently relocated to Tomball to be near family. He was a lifelong resident of Justin, Texas where he spent his life operating the farm he was raised on. He is survived by two sons Benny C. and Wife Nancy of Woodstock, Ga. and Manuel R. and wife Jackie of Spring, Texas, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Milton was a lifelong member of the Justin Baptist Church and a member of the Farm Bureau of Denton County and the Cattleman's Association. He attended and played football at Decatur Baptist College and was a strong advocate of public education and a supporter of the Northwest Independent School District. He was also a huge supporter of education within his own family and was especially proud that all his children and grandchildren earned college degrees. His home was always open to family and friends and a gathering place for many. He left a legacy of integrity, honesty, goodwill, service, mercy, generosity, humility, hard work and fun for those who had the great fortune to know him. His bright spirit will be missed by many. We look forward to seeing him again.
Funeral Services will be held at the Justin Baptist Church, 402 West 8th St. on Friday May 4th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Justin Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Sadler will be officiating the service. The family will receive guest prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 9:30 at the church.
