Jesse Freedman Baker, 93, of Denton, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his home in Denton.
Freed was born on November 6, 1921 in Osage, AR to W.F. and Martha L. (Bartlett) Baker. He was married to Betty J. Mulkey on June 27, 1942 in Denton, and she passed away on Oct. 20, 2012. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for Bell Helicopter for many years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Freed is survived by his daughters, Betty Glasscock of Denton, Linda Abrams and husband George of Argyle; sons, Dale Baker and wife Tommye of Argyle, Olan Baker of Ferris; sisters, Tessie Pennington of McKinney,; brother, Garlin Baker of Aubrey; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Mulkey-Mason funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, 2221 N. Carroll Blvd., Denton. Rev. R. D. Wade and J. F. Norris, officiating Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery, Denton. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
