Obituary

Jerry Wayne Wallace, a devoted family man and hardworking soul, passed away on January 21, 2025. Jerry's life was defined by his dedication to his loved ones and an unwavering work ethic that served as an inspiration to all who knew him.

Jerry was the youngest of ten siblings born on February 18th, 1947, to Linnie Bell Flanagan and Ernest David Wallace in Marshall, Texas. He married the love of his life, Sue Ann Wallace, on May 14th, 1976. He took pride in providing for his family and instilled in them the values of perseverance, integrity, and love. Jerry found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, whether through shared meals, heartfelt conversations, or simply being present in their lives. His strong sense of responsibility and his kind, selfless nature left a lasting impact on everyone around him. Jerry will be remembered as a man who worked tirelessly, loved deeply, and gave generously. He found immense happiness in watching his children grow and build their own lives, always offering guidance, encouragement, and support. As a grandfather, Jerry delighted in spoiling his grandchildren, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. His role as a great-grandfather brought him even more joy, as he revealed in seeing the next generation carry forward the values of love and togetherness, he held so dear. Jerry's legacy of unconditional love, patience, and care lives on in the hearts of his family. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a man who made family his greatest treasure.

Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, his ten brothers and sisters, and the love of his life—his wife, Sue Ann Wallace, whose memory he cherished endlessly. Jerry's wife was not just his partner but his greatest companion and source of joy. Their love story was built on decades of shared experiences, laughter, and steadfast support. Jerry often spoke of how blessed he felt to have her by his side, and he loved her with a depth that words could scarcely describe. She was his rock, his inspiration, and the light of his life. Her passing left a void in his heart, but he carried her memory with him every day, finding comfort in the thought of being reunited with her one day. His family finds peace knowing that Jerry is now reunited with his wife, parents, and siblings, surrounded by the love that defined his life.

Jerry is survived by his four children; Tony and Kristen Wallace of Sanger, Texas, Alesia and Daniel Vasquez of Sanger, Texas, Windy and Eric Schluter of Ponder, Texas, and Lonny and Susan Wallace of Sanger, Texas; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
