Jerry Don Templar, 77, of Denton, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his home in Denton.
Mr. Templar was born on January 26, 1940, in Hartshorne, OK to Floyd Ernest and Erma Dell (York) Templar. He married Linda Vivian Lopez on July 5, 1986 in Liberal, KS and they celebrated their 30
th
wedding anniversary last year. Jerry served in the Army National Guard. He attended the First Christian Church in Liberal, KS and was a member of the Moose Lodge for many years. He worked as an engineer for ConAgra Foods and retired from there in 2002.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake, and was a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan.
He also loved spending quality time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Templar of Denton; daughter, Jana Hale of Eskridge, KS; stepdaughters, Annette Marquez of Lewisville, Dannette Robberson of Littleton, CO; son, Dalton Templar of Overland Park, KS; sister, Patsene Clark of Muleshoe, TX; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Loy Dale Templar, Bill Templar, Bob Templar, and Jack Templar.
