Jerry Granvell Murphy, 70, of Chatsworth, CA formerly of Denton County, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Van Nuys, CA He was born January 31, 1940 in Dallas, TX to J. G. and Zalease (Cowan) Murphy. He was married to Norma Brewer, on September 8, 1961 in Abilene, TX He was retired as Area Supervisor for Colonial Storage, and was formerly a Barber in Richardson, TX He is a member of the Baptist Church, and served in the U. S. Air Force, and was a member of a Homing Pigeon Club.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Kevin McGuffey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Cross Roads, TX

Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Norma Murphy of Chatsworth, CA daughter, Donna Pufall, of Chatsworth, CA and Son, Neil Murphy of Garland, TX , and sister, Patsy Cox of Scroggins, TX and Two Grandchildren Tye Randell and Mayah Pufall.
