Born July 1, 1941, in Pilot Point, Texas.

Fell asleep in death the evening of June 22, 2026, in Denton, Texas

He was self-employed and had a Paint & Body Shop. Restored Old Cars.

Loved to play golf and go hunting and fishing.

Father of 6 Children, Grandfather of 11, Great Grandfather of 12.

Survived by his Children, Ronda (William) Prueter, Robert (Vickie) Hammons, Jerry Ray (Karen) Hammons Jr. , Jacqueline (Timothy) Hensley, and stepson Jamin O'Connell.

His Grandchildren. James C. Frederick, Misty Kalla, Kristy, Dakota, and Montanna Hammons, Allyson (Reece) Renuy, Connor, Lucas, and Violet Hensley, Waylon and Justin O'Connell.

Preceded in death by his sons, Tony Dale and Jonathan Garrett Hammons, his Sister Patsy Goolsby, and his parents, George Raymon Hammons and Cleo Mavis Crutsinger Hammons.

Family Visitation will be held Saturday, June 27th at Spring Creek Barbeque
