Obituary

Jeannette Maxine Kingery Meadows Corn died on September 12, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at home in Krum, Texas, at 81 years of age after a short illness.

Born on October 21, 1932 in San Jose, California; daughter of Arvel(Bill) Thomas Kingery and Ruby Lucille (Peck) Kingery. She attended schools in Oregon and California, and was a graduate of San Jose High School. She also attended the University of North Texas, formerly known as North Texas State University. On May 11, 1950, she married Joseph Marion Meadows, in San Jose, California; the Sailor she had been writing to since the age of eleven. They made their home in Corinth, Texas, where they raised their four children. Joe passed away in 1964, at the
age of thirty seven. She later remarried and had her precious son, Guy.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 - 8:00 pm, on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Denton Funeral Home, 120 S Carroll Blvd., Denton, 76201. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 10:00 am, in the Denton Funeral Home Chapel.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Joseph Meadows and wife, Patsy, Daniel Meadows and wife, Diana, and Guy Lehrman and wife, Rose, daughters; Debra Crawford and husband, Bobby and Flicka Reynolds, sisters; Dixie Clements and husband, Al and Lana Lane and a child of the heart, Robert Smith; seventeen grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren, one, great-great-granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her two travelling buddies, Gloria Taylor and Jean Williams.
