Jeanette Lee Bassinger, age 78, passed away August 9, 2009 at her home in Lewisville.  Jeanette was born, April 13, 1931 in Archer City, Texas to Leonard Edgar and Willie Pearl Hoffman McDonald.  She married Raymond Bassinger December 23, 1948.  He preceded her in death April 15, 2004.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Joy Bassinger or Lewisville, Texas; sons, Jimmy Bassinger and his wife, Jean of Highland Village, Texas and Dennis Bassinger and his wife, Janiece of Krum, Texas ; sisters, Mary Sue Rogers and her husband, Johnnie of Farmers Branch, Texas; Dorothy Godfrey and her husband Jack of Lewisville, Texas; and Glenda Tubbs and her husband, Leon of Mississippi; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, LaDonna Warnack and a brother, L.E. McDonald.

A funeral service will be held, 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, Texas.  Burial will follow in Keenan Cemetery in Farmers Branch, Texas.  The family will receive friends, 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas.
